the lost lighthouse – a haiku

LighthouseHauntedThe fog had darkened
his frail abandoned lighthouse,
and he smelled the death.

There weren’t many things
Lou could look forward to now —
the water was cold.

The inspiration,
a barbaric masterpiece,
of love lost at sea.

The cliff danced with him,
and his feet stepped off the edge,
she called him back home.

Now, reunited,
Lou, his lover, felt the sting
of a lighthouse lost.
